Insignia Systems, Inc. an innovative developer and marketer of in-store advertising and promotions, announced the signing of a 10-year extension of the strategic alliance agreement with Valassis (NYSE:VCI), the nation's leading marketing services company. This long-term extension of the sales and marketing arrangement includes provisions that broaden the relationship beyond the previous joint-selling efforts aimed at consumer packaged goods companies. Under the extended agreement, Valassis will have a leadership role in helping Insignia develop and expand its participating retailer network. Valassis received a five-year warrant to acquire 800,000 shares of Insignia's common stock at a price of $4.04 per share as consideration for the resources it will expend recruiting new retail distribution.

CEO Poker Tour in Las Vegas Has Record Numbers on First Day
CEO POKER TOUR, where executives battle over the green felt of the poker table for trophies, 14K gold bracelets, cash, and bragging rights, at the Venetian Resort-Hotel-Casino, in Las Vegas, July 2-10, welcomed 345 players on the first day of the tournament week.
"The first day of the CEO POKER event was a huge success," says William Peraza, Jr., CEO of CEO POKER TOUR. "We knew that we had the right combination, a great hotel , a unique tournament, and players that appreciate the game and networking."

Blaine's Business Services, Inc Implements Work-At-Home Option for Employees
Highland, Indiana based Blaine's Business Services Inc. provides long-time employees with new telecommuting option.
When Marilyn Hurey's mother needed special care, Hurey decided to take care of her elderly mother at home without having to resort to using a nursing home. Hurey, a graphic designer at Blaine's Business Services Inc. based in Highland, Indiana, was able to take part of a new company program providing long-time employees with a stay-at-home option for work.
"It came out of necessity," President and Founder Blaine Hilton said. "Of course we miss her 'physically' being at the office, but she's a part of our company just like our other co-workers."
Hilton believes other employers who have the option to allow their employees to e-commute should consider it. "It's great because we embrace being as environmentally friendly as we can. People debate things like global warming, but air pollution and limited natural resources are issues, too. In a small way, we're contributing to less of a dependence on foreign oil, less pollution and less traffic on the roads," co-worker Joseph Duron said.
In the web site design/development and graphic design industry , the work is not really done overnight. Blaine's works one-on-one with their clients, keeping high communication throughout the entire process which is a challenge for Hurey, but they have a strategy that's been working great. "I can knock out communications during the day and work on the designs anytime between communications or later on in the day," she said.
From home Hurey can work on designs and communicate with the office and clients via e-mail or phone throughout the day. "Whenever there are computer issues, we can simply use the internet to remotely fix the computer within a very short period, just as if she were in the office," Duron said.
