HealthCare Salaries on the Rise

Healthcare jobs are hot and their demand shows no signs of slowing. As the nation's need for healthcare escalates, so do the salaries for many of the most in demand positions in the industry. The 2011 Compensation Data Healthcare survey results found the average base salary for occupational therapists has increased from $65,600 in 2009 to $69,700 in 2011. This represents an increase 6.3 percent. (read more)

This includes full integration with CareerBuilder's Sologig niche site to help employers and staffing agencies reach a target audience of experienced consultants, contractors, contract-to-hire, per diems, and other freelance professionals. SmartSearch users with a Sologig subscription can now post jobs from within the application, as well as take advantage of fully integrated search capabilities that allows easy review and import of selected resumes into the customer's database. Survey Says ...

Nearly One-Third of Companies Don't Have Succession Planning, Reveals New CareerBuilder Survey

When a high level leader leaves a company, there's a lot of pressure associated with the selection of his or her successor. Even with so much weight placed on future leaders, many companies reveal they don't have a formal plan of action to replace their higher ups. According to a new CareerBuilder survey, nearly one-third (31 percent) of companies with more than 1,000 employees said they don't currently have a succession planning program at their organization. In addition, 50 percent of senior management (CEO, CFO, Senior VP, etc.) and 52 percent of those in a vice president position said they do not have a successor for their current role. The survey was conducted online by Harris Interactive on behalf of CareerBuilder from February 21 through March 10, 2011 among more than 1000 employers with 1,001 or more employees. (read more)
