HORSHAM, PA -- 03/01/10 -- Amid the healthcare debate and an increasingly competitive marketplace for talent, HR professionals across the country are seeking new solutions to come out ahead. The Human Resource Executive Forum®, part of HR Week™ at the Hilton New York, April 12 - 14, provides an intimate venue for high-level HR professionals to exchange insights on the hottest topics including: Benefits, Recruiting, HR Leadership, HR Technology, Talent Management and Workforce Planning/Analytics.
Even before healthcare reform dominated the headlines, health initiatives were at the top of HR executives' priority lists. Carol Harnett, chair of the Health and Performance Innovation Institute, and a distinguished lineup of panelists will provide HR professionals with a prescription for sorting through a variety of wellness programs with an eye toward creating a healthier bottom line and better outcomes for employees in "Can Wellness Programs Lower Healthcare Costs? What Works, What Doesn't, What Might."
Following the Benefits session, Gerry Crispin, principal and chief navigator at CareerXroads, will moderate a panel of experts in "Remaking Recruiting: Conquering New Dynamics Amid Changing Economic and Demographic Demands." Together, they will enlighten HR professionals with their takes on how the recruiting landscape is shifting to respond to a whole new set of demands and opportunities.
"Social network policy, limiting economic realities, talent wars over scarce skills, upstart generations, retiring boomers, the candidate experience, HR alignment, employment brand, succession plans and international competition," said Crispin. "The consequences of doing nothing far outweigh the challenges of remaking recruiting."
Across the seven sessions, HR professionals will hear from nationally recognized experts and HR executives from Aetna, Capital One, CIGNA, Coca-Cola, Comcast, Hewlett-Packard, Hilton Worldwide, IBM, Oracle and other elite organizations. Plus, a newly added bonus session from the Cornell University Center for Advanced Human Resource Studies, "Becoming a Chief HR Officer: How to Get There and What You'll Need to Succeed," will kick off the Forum before Monday's Welcome Reception.
HR Week™ will also host an Expo offering innovative products and services for HR initiatives. The complete HR Week™ agenda is online and Early Bird registration is open for individuals and teams to attend this premier HR professional development experience. Visit www.hrweek.com.
