Global Rewards Analysis: A Framework for Success

May 14, 2013-Scottsdale, Ariz.–One size does not fit all when it comes to global rewards programs. Local regulations, customs, and expectations vary greatly across global regions even for the same company. Finding the right balance between global and local programs is often challenging for global rewards professionals.

To meet the need for tools and education focused on how to approach compensation and benefits from a multinational perspective, WorldatWork has introduced a new e-learning course. “Global Rewards Analysis: A Framework for Success” is a self-paced, e-learning course that explores the diversity of reward design and delivery across the globe. It provides a framework–including a universal Global Rewards Checklist–to facilitate regional comparisons, analysis and recommendations. It is designed to help participants understand how compensation and benefits plans vary for U.S., Latin America, Europe, and Asia Pacific. The course concludes with practical applications of the framework for India and China.

“Global Rewards Analysis: A Framework for Success” is taught by Maureen Hovy, GRP, an expert in global compensation and benefits strategy design, execution and communication. Hovy has more than 25 years’ experience in consulting and executive roles in global advisory firms and multinationals headquartered in U.S., Europe and Africa. Her corporate experience includes regional reward leadership roles for Cisco Systems and Huhtamaki. Earlier in her career, Hovy spent 15 years as executive and remuneration advisor with global human capital advisory firms including Ernst & Young and KPMG, South Africa.

Hovy holds a Bachelor of Science, post-graduate degree in Education, a Diploma in Datametrics (with distinction), a Certificate in Labour Relations Management and the Global Remuneration Professional (GRP) accreditation from WorldatWork. She is a former member of the WorldatWork Global Advisory Board and has presented Global Remuneration Professional training in the U.S., South Africa and Asia Pacific.

Other WorldatWork global courses include: Expatriate Compensation Fundamentals and Expatriate Compensation Policy and Strategy.
