The Job Search Boot Camp Teaches Job Seekers the Advanced Techniques They Need to Find Jobs Faster in Today's Market
In this 4.5 hour program, job seekers will be trained to find opportunities in the hidden job market, to deal with tough job search challenges and to market and sell themselves so they rise to the top, especially when the talent pool is deep and, therefore, very competitive.
Starting in mid-February, job seekers all over the nation will learn high-yield techniques to find jobs faster with the help of technology and two seasoned career experts.
Career experts, Angela Loëb and Jay Markunas, have teamed up to provide a special three-part course over the internet called The Job Search Boot Camp. Participants can view a 4-minute video preview on the "Upcoming Events" page at http://www.jobsearchbootcamp.net and starting on February 18 will learn advanced job search techniques over three consecutive Thursday evenings. In this 4.5 hour program, job seekers will be trained to find opportunities in the hidden job market, to deal with tough job search challenges and to market and sell themselves so they rise to the top, especially when the talent pool is deep and, therefore, very competitive. Participants will work their way through a companion workbook which contains over 50 pages of resume samples, job search strategy worksheets, interview questions, negotiation tips and job search resources.

Loëb and Markunas gathered research on proven job search tactics and merged it with their combined 35 years of experiences and observations. The result is a compact package of high-impact information. While the program does touch on the basics, it mainly focuses on the most effective advanced strategies. Since 86% of job seekers who use what is known as "the targeted job search method" reach success and since 80% of jobs are obtained through networking, Loëb and Markunas give special attention to these topics among others.
Another advanced topic area is salary negotiation, which is especially important in today's market. "Most people don't realize that when it comes to compensation and negotiation, 20-30% is still ‘left on the table.' We help them see it, and we teach them how to go for it," says Markunas, a Fortune 500 human resources professional and career coach who also volunteers as leader of The Compass Group, a faith-based career networking group.
Technology makes the webcast series accessible and convenient to job seekers who simply need internet access and a phone to participate. Markunas adds, "Last year, we delivered this information during several live, in-person events.
