    Getting Started
For a solid look at the breadth and depth of online resources, you might want to try the Virtual Job Fair (VJF). An outgrowth of High Tech Careers Magazine, VJF is an amazing array of pointers, tips and job listings. Their jobs database includes over 15,000 listings from 500 employers. They may well be the largest single source of job listings on the web.

We think that their collection of career related technology articles will inform and entertain you for hours. Virtual Job Fair (VJF) is certainly one of the most comprehensive web resources of tools and information for the job hunt.

    Networking Revisited

On one level, the best place to start your job hunt is at Yahoo!. (And not in their jobs section.)

Once you clearly know what you want, the web offers you unprecedented access to experts and interest groups in any area that you can imagine. Yahoo! is the best place to begin looking for those groups.

When you get there, get involved first. It's possible, in a very short time, to become an expert in a given area. By contributing and making a difference, you can allow the jobs to come to you.

The web is a network and ought to be used as such.

We really enjoyed an article called What is this Networking Thing

    HTML Resumes(again)

Bookmark Tripod. Besides offering free html resume development and storage (using Resume Doctor). this very hip online magazine provides delightfully offbeat looks at the employment scene. We were particularly entertained by Getting Canned and Loving It and Have You Hugged Your Boss Today?. Tripod rounds out their offerings with Essential Work And Money Links and a well groomed set of career services. Stop by and visit Tripod for a refreshing look at the Job Hunt.

As always, we reccommend using Intellimatch as the starting point for developing an online resume. We suggest that you visit Intellimatch and fill out their resume forms. (It's a fantastic skills assessment process). One of the benefits of the Intellimatch process is that you recieve a completed HTML resume as the result of filling out their questionaire.

Then, take a look at the Resume Doctor on Tripod. Use your Intellimatch resume as the foundation for the final product and store it on Tripod. The total process should take no more than 90 minutes and will be a major milestone in your search.
