    Intelligent Assistance
Learning your way around the net can be a forbidding task. Among other things, JobSmart, a guide to Northern California Jobs, offers some of the clearest instructions for using the net we've run across. Understanding Internet Job Ads is a simple, easy to understand introduction that takes the edge off the Internet Job Hunt by carefully explaining the ins and outs. The section also includes one of the best Resume Tutorials on the web today. Finally, the guide provides gentle but authoritative assistance for using the Web to research a company.

If you have the slightest bit of technophobia, try JobSmart. It'll take some of the edge off.

Looking For Work In The Last Place On Earth
What's the last place imaginable to find useful information about job hunting? Certainly, TVGuide comes close. While i-guide is the Web offspring of TVGuide, your mother might not recognize it.

i-guide is the only place we know of where you can build a cartoon car, find out what Captain Kirk watches on TV, manage your portfolio and find out about work.

Besides solid reviews of the major employment websites, iguide offers Resume Maker, another HTML resume generator, as a central feature of their service.

It's Friday, so why not relax, open a couple of browser windows and play a game while you build your new HTML Resume

    Using an HTML Resume
You might ask, "Why should I use an HTML Resume?" After all, many, if not most, employers simply can't see them. We think there are two major benefits:
  • To function effectively in the job market, you need to be able to rapidly revise your "credentials package" to suit the specific needs of this employer or that recruiter. The more experience you develop in changing your emphasis, the better off you'll be in the hunt. An HTML Resume is one more exercise in self-assessment and packaging to help you stay flexible.

  • Having an online resume creates an aura of technical competence. This is particularly useful for non-technical professionals who are trying to demonstrate that they are adaptive and technically oriented.

Our current reccommendation for HTML Resume development is that you start with the Intellimatch "Watson" Resume questionaire. It will take you through a detailed skills evaluation process and provide you with an HTML Resume as an output. Then, wander over to Tripod to use their HTML Resume Generator. Tripod will host your resume online.

    Opportunities in the Insurance Industry
Add your Resume to the bank at the Insurance Career Center. A part of Insurance Connections, the associated material includes a number of key industry associations and a Directory of Insurance Recruiters which lists major insurance headhunters with email/website contact information where available.

If you're even vaguely considering a career in Insurance, a tour through their web-links will give you a solid overview. It's a great place to start a hunt for an Insurance industry career.
