ITTA
(January 9, 1997):
PHOENIX -- January 8, 1997 (MMG) -- As the current trend toward
corporate downsizing continues and companies become increasingly
computerized, companies have chosen, as a competitive strategy, to
use temporary computer professionals to augment their in-house staffs
to achieve their technology goals and objectives.
Fortune 500 companies report that their IT Department's staff mix
between full-time and temporary staff range from an 80/20 ratio to a
60/40 ratio and the trend of using the temporary professional is
increasing drastically.
This conscientious shift of using large numbers of computer professional
temporary staffs has created new challenges for companies. In order to
acquire enough temporary professionals companies have had to contract
with large numbers of computer consulting and brokerage firms to fulfill
their temporary staffing needs. Managing these vendors, their staffs, and
related accounting and legal tasks has drained internal company resources
and caused many to create departments specifically for this effort.
ITTA, a management consulting company focused on delivering solutions
to the computer consulting industry and the companies that use these
resources. ITTA, the developer and owner of the award winning web based
ITTA Connection and the Virtual Recruiter introduces a new service and
product offering, The Electronic Human Interchange (EHI) System and
Program.
The EHI System is a web based interactive system that provides a full
featured interface between computer consulting vendors and the client.
The client system features include:
- Vendor setup and contract maintenance
- Vendor categories, primary, secondary and other
- Secured ID and Password protected environment
- On-Line posting of staffing requirements
- Selected viewing of posted staffing requirements according to Vendor
status
- Review and direct on-line response capabilities to the vendor about the
candidates submitted to the requirements
- Immediate notification to vendors of new and changed staffing
requirements posted
- Ability to identify candidates submitted by multiple vendors
- Ability to identify candidates that have been submitted to multiple
requirements
- Immediate notification of candidate status change to the owner of the
posted requirements the candidate has been submitted for
- Detailed searches on all or specific vendor candidates
- On-line technical testing validating candidates skill sets
- Vendor performance reports
- Customized interfaces to time reporting, accounts payable, contracts
administration, and security systems
The computer consulting companies (vendors) have the following features
at their disposal:
- Proprietary database for each vendors candidates
- Immediate notification to vendors of new and changed staffing
requirements posted
- On-line feedback about the status of individual candidates submitted
for consideration
- Direct e-mail communication with hiring personnel
- Detailed searches on the posted requirements
- Point and click submittal of candidates to posted requirements
- On-line technical testing to evaluate candidates prior to submittal
- Ability to update and change candidate information with immediate
notification to the owners of the staffing requirements the candidate
has been submitted for
- Performance reporting
- Management reporting, rate trend by skill category
- Future staffing requirement reports
- EHI Client updates and news
The EHI System can be customized to meet any client's particular
needs and environment. A live, interactive EHI demonstration system
has been created at the ITTA Connection, http://www.it-ta.com and
can be accessed by selecting "The Electronic Human Interchange
(EHI) System" from the homepage.
The EHI Program takes this powerful vendor management tool and
blends it with ITTA,s Management Consulting Group (IMCG), creating
a total outsourcing solution for vendor management in the IT environment.
The IMCG,s proven expertise in vendor management and its success
is directly attributed to its win-win philosophy, the client and the vendor
wins. The IMCG has been and is currently leading the effort in the
certification of computer consulting companies that has already identified
many quality firms providing these services. This effort has allowed ITTA
to identify and work with over 200 quality computer consulting companies
that can provide services through the EHI Program.
ITTA does not and will not compete with the computer consulting vendors
in their traditional service offerings.
The IMCG can provide complete vendor outsourcing services or take
responsibilities for specific tasks, the one caveat is that the client needs
to be involved!
