JobOptions ranked 16th among the top 50 advertisers in a study by The Strategis Group, Inc. Sites were logged based on visibility in a survey of 6,972 ads on the top 50 sites between April and June 1999. According to Jeff Moore of The Strategis Group (http://www.strategisgroup.com/), "We got a lot of expected results, like Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and Microsoft finishing 1-2-3, and a lot of unexpected results, like Enews finishing in the top 10 and online casinos faring as well as branded consumer products." JobOptions at http://www.joboptions.com was the ONLY job site listed. "JobOptions has the foremost employment site presence on the web, with a 16th place ranking overall", according to Advertising on the Internet: 1999, by The Strategis Group. JobOptions owes this high-ranking position, in large part, to its constant presence on the home pages of its co-brand partners like XOOM.com, which is among most trafficked sites on the 'Net. JobOptions President Michael R. Forrest said, "I don't know why anyone would be surprised by our successes online, especially when compared to other job sites. To conduct this study, The Strategis Group entered 6,972 Internet ads on the top 50 websites into a database. Each ad was weighted according to whether it was a banner or a button, the traffic of the site, and whether it was on the home page or not. 'Net Presence' is the resulting composite measure of advertising visibility on the Internet.
