Best Practices in Employee Recognition

(October 22, 2012) Michael C. Fina Announces Winners of Fourth Annual Rose Awards

Estée Lauder, RaceTrac, and PVH Among Companies Recognized for Best Practices in Employee Recognition

Michael C. Fina, a leading family-owned provider of global employee reward, recognition, and incentive solutions, is pleased to announce the winners of their fourth annual Rose Awards. Named after cofounder Rose Fina, The Rose Awards are meant to honor companies who celebrate best practices in employee recognition and engage their workforce by fostering a culture of pride, integrity, and respect within their organizations.

This year's Rose Awards honor 10 organizations representing a wide range of industries across several categories. They were selected based upon critical success factors for any employee recognition strategy, including employee participation rates, ease of administration, use of technology, and data delivery. "We feel very fortunate," said President Ashley Fina. "These organizations understand the true power of partnership, and how recognition not only drives business results, but changes the way an entire company feels about what they do. We learn from them every day."

The honorees of the Fourth Annual Rose Awards are as follows:
    Outstanding Service Anniversary Program
    ABB
    Atmos Energy Corp.
    Peabody Energy
    RaceTrac
    United Technologies
    USG

    Outstanding Global Recognition Program
    KBR

    Outstanding On-the-Spot Recognition Program
    PVH

    Outstanding Total Recognition Program
    North Mississippi Health Services

Charles Fina Power of Partnership Award
    Estée Lauder Companies

Liz Moran from Estée Lauder Companies remarked on her organization's indelible 50-year partnership with Michael C. Fina: "We are very proud of our partnership, which dates back to the 60s when Mrs. Estée Lauder herself was a customer of Rose Fina's," she said. "Maintaining a close partnership with the Michael C. Fina family of employees is a critical component to the success of our recognition strategy." Upon receiving the award, Joann Rossi, Human Resources Manager at Estée Lauder, added "Getting to see what everyone does to take such great care of the products you send out for our employees to enjoy is really something that aligns with our core values. It's really nice to see there are so many similarities between our businesses."

"We value partnerships. If you are a vendor, than we don't want you" reiterated Jamie Benton from RaceTrac, an Outstanding Service Anniversary Program winner. "For 75 years, RaceTrac has stood for teamwork, respect, honesty, and efficiency. Our goal is to make things simpler and more enjoyable for our customers and our valued employees. We have full confidence that Michael C. Fina is the perfect partner to help us execute this goal."

Lori Maurer from PVH echoed RaceTrac when receiving the Rose Award for Outstanding On-The-Spot Recognition Program, stating "Michael C. Fina has been an amazing partner for us. Clearly you have the same type of commitment to your associates that PVH has in delivering excellent customer service, and we're looking forward to continuing to work with you."
