Temporary Staffing Revenue Rose 16 Percent in August (September 30, 2011) Temporary staffing revenue rose 16 percent in August on a year-over-year basis while direct-hire revenue rose 40 percent and temp-to-hire revenue rose 19 percent, according to the newly released Pulse Survey by Staffing Industry Analysts. The survey included responses from 186 staffing firms. Within temporary staffing, travel nursing posted the largest year-over-year revenue gain, rising 37 percent. It was followed by legal staffing revenue, which rose 30 percent. The report also noted that staffing firm acquisitions ticked up in August after declining in the previous few months. Staffing firms can get complete copies of future editions of the Pulse Survey by taking part in the survey.
