CareerBliss Releases the Top Ten Hottest Jobs in Social Media
(September 26, 2011) Facebook and Twitter Are Helping Catapult the Careers of Many in Social Media - New Data from CareerBliss Shows Which Jobs Are Booming in this Growing Niche
CareerBliss, the leading online career community helping people find joy and success at every step in their careers, announces new data revealing the hottest jobs in social media. Beyond just a "Like," these careers are ranked by the number of job openings in the US for each job type and the position's average annual salary.
Coming in first overall are content managers, who direct the type of messages that a company distributes on their social media channels, with more than 1,500 job openings and an average salary of more than $59,000 a year.
This job ranks number one on The CareerBliss Top Ten Hottest Jobs for Social Media. Following behind those who help create and disseminate information on Facebook, Twitter and other social media platforms, are social media managers, who ranked second, followed by social media coordinators and product managers to round out the top ten.

Methodology
The CareerBliss data evaluates all social media jobs from 2009-2011. The CareerBliss ranking is determined by analyzing open job listings under the category of social media for 2011. There must be a minimum of 100 jobs in a category to qualify for this data set. The average salary is derived from salaries listings from 2010 - 2011. Salaries are determined by their annual average per job category. More than 21,000 job listings were analyzed for this data.
