Bernard Hodes Group Continues to Innovate with the Industry-First Instream Jobs Facebook Appliction
(April 1, 2011) Bernard Hodes Group, a leading provider of integrated talent solutions, has developed and is excited to introduce the Hodes Instream Jobs Facebook application . This new solution is a next step in user-friendly Facebook applications, which allows job seekers to view job opportunities on a company's Facebook Page Wall as well as in their personal news stream.
Prior to the introduction of Instream Jobs Facebook application, companies would typically post hyperlinked job opportunities with job titles and short descriptions that when clicked, would take a job seeker away from Facebook and onto a careers web site. Usually, candidates searching for jobs via social communities such as Facebook would prefer to conduct their entire search from the site, rather than be taken to another web site or careers page.
'This is an application that will revolutionize how candidates find and apply for job opportunities through Facebook,' said Kane Cochran, director of digital innovation and mobile , Bernard Hodes Group. 'Now, companies with critical and specific job openings can engage with candidates at their point of contact on the company's Facebook wall.'
Finding and applying for jobs are only two of the features of Instream Jobs. Other application features include:
- Job seekers who 'like' a company will see job opportunities in their personal news stream.
- Viewing a full job title and description without leaving Facebook, as opposed to posting only a job title and brief description.
- Viewing up to three similar job openings.
- Starting a job search within the application that will take users directly to their search results on the company's career site.
- Displaying videos and/or photos that can be viewed within the application.
The Hodes Instream Jobs Facebook application joins the Hodes Suite of Social Recruiting Solutions including Job Search and Share, a full-branded job search application for Facebook Pages, AroundHere, a locations map mashup with jobs and hyper-local information, and Social JobMatcher, the industry's first career site social plug-in for job recommendations and referrals.
