ZoomInfo Pro Wins Prestigious CODiE Award
(March 30, 2011) Winner of Best Directory & Business Leads Service Category
The Software & Information Industry Association's (SIIA) CODiE Award program has named ZoomInfo's flagship service, ZoomInfo Pro, winner of the program's Best Directory & Business Leads Service category. The category recognizes ZoomInfo Pro as the "best online service for accessing contact information for businesses and professionals in specific industries, areas of expertise or geographic locations; or as part of a collection of prospective buyers in a certain market."

According to the SIIA, CODiE judges who reviewed ZoomInfo Pro remarked that the software-as-a-service (SaaS) application - which provides access to the ZoomInfo Database of five million businesses and 50 million businesspeople, plus unique search, export and alert tools - was "very easy to use," yet includes "powerful search options ... (e.g., the ability to search across multiple fields, such as articles, to find people, rather than simply searching by company name or job title)." Judges also noted ZoomInfo's "smart use of technology" that allows ZoomInfo Pro to offer business information that is constantly refreshed.
ZoomInfo Pro is the culmination of extensive technology advancements that support the ZoomInfo vision to map the business landscape in near real time. ZoomInfo recently upgraded its proprietary Web crawling technology - which constantly scours millions of company, financial and news sites to uncover new information every day. It also added advanced community contribution technology and upgraded its one-of-a-kind data matching and profile-creating technologies that correctly match new information from multiple sources with existing records (e.g., matching John Smith of Acme Corp. and Jonathan A. Smith of Acme Inc.).
Customers can access highly accurate profiles that go beyond basic business card information. For example, employee profiles include work history, education and 10 years of Web references (honors, board affiliations, etc.) including items not available elsewhere online. ZoomInfo Pro enables users to search across all of this data to create lists of target prospects or better understand an individual or company. Every day, ZoomInfo adds approximately 2,000 new businesses and 25,000 new employees to its database and updates about 15,000 business and 250,000 businessperson records.
