Bernard Hodes Group President Bruce Skillings honored as Industry Innovator
(July 31 2009) Bernard Hodes Group President Bruce Skillings Receives Special Recognition Award From HR Symposium.
Bruce Skillings, Bernard Hodes Group President of recruitment communications, has received the 2009 "Extraordinary Commitment - Partnership with HR" Award from the HR Symposium. Skillings has been honored by the organization for his influence as a true innovator in the human resources industry.
Each year, the HR Symposium recognizes members of the human resources community who impact the business climate in Silicon Valley. The 2009 Awards of Excellence program bestowed this special honor to Skillings, the first time the award was given, commending his tireless dedication and support to the HR Symposium as well as his expertise in recruitment communications and influence in the HR industry.
"The HR Symposium has a history of supporting the HR community through scholarship money for aspiring human resources professionals, and I am proud to represent Hodes in assisting these professionals through HR Symposium efforts," said Skillings. "I am honored by this recognition, but I am even more proud of being a part of the greater good that the Symposium brings to the Silicon Valley business community."
For more than 35 years, Skillings has managed Bernard Hodes Group's Western Region and was responsible for the agency entering into the Asian market by opening the Hodes Hong Kong and Singapore offices, as well as developing relationships with members of the Hodes Global Network in Southeast Asia. He is most notably known for leading the team that created CareerMosaic, the Internet's first employment web site.
Today, Skillings is instrumental in developing successful and strategic HR communications campaigns for numerous business-to-business and consumer product accounts. He is also a member of the Hodes Executive Leadership team, and is a frequent speaker and presenter about trends in human resources and recruitment.
