Facing Exceptional Workplace Challenges

(July 22 2009)
Facing Exceptional Workplace Challenges, HR Executives Need to Set Sights on Upcoming HR Technology Conference and Exposition -Rethinking Business Processes, Managing Consolidation and Examining the Role of Newer Technologies will Take Center Stage at this Year's Event-

HR professionals are dealing with unprecedented workplace challenges, making the quest for knowledge and networking this year's top initiative. The agenda for Human Resource Executive Magazine's 12th Annual HR Technology Conference & Exposition, being held Sept. 30-Oct. 2, 2009, at McCormick Place in Chicago, has been expressly designed to address these needs and more.

Bill Kutik, conference co-chair and technology columnist for Human Resource Executive magazine, commented, "In a short period of time, profound change has transpired in HR. HR professionals are forced to stretch even further than they were before. Mergers and acquisitions, layoffs and furloughs, redefined healthcare and retirement benefits and the continuing war for talent – even with the current abundance of candidates – necessitate new levels of innovation. Now in our 12thyear, the HR TechnologyConference and Exposition is the premier destination for these busy HR executives to gain solutions to their problems while networking with their peers."

Acknowledging that conference travel budgets have been hit in 2009, Kutik shared, "If there's one HR show to attend this year, it's the HR Technology Conference. Since inception, we have been consistently over-delivering on our promise to bring attendees a rich, robust agenda that blends business process with technology by giving them meaningful, actionable information that they can apply in their own organizations."

Industry luminary Dave Duffield concurs. Duffield, who founded PeopleSoft in 1987 and SaaS-based HRMS vendor Workday in 2005, recently taped a video promoting the 12th Annual HR TechnologyConference & Exposition. In the video, which can be accessed at www.hrtechnologyconference.com, he encourages all HR practitioners to attend the world famous event.

When pressed to name his favorite sessions on this year's agenda, Kutik said, "I am looking forward to the conference's hallmark events: the 12thAnnual Industry Analyst Panel and the second annual Talent Management Shootout. But I think HR practitioners also really need to pay close attention to our ‘great new technologies' sessions, which will illuminate the advances of social networking and Web 2.0 in HR." Kutik said, "Social media is no longer a choice for HR, it's a requirement for any organization committed to being competitive when it comes to recruiting, managing its employment brand, and retaining the best workers. The HR TechnologyConference is the only one that gives attendees what they need to understand the implications and tools needed to address this new frontier."

The complete conference program is available at www.HRTechnologyConference.com. Pre-Early Bird registrants will receive $400 off registration if they sign up by July 31, 2009. A smaller discount is offered to those who register prior to September 18, 2009. The "team discount" provides for a 30% discount after the first two full-price registrations, making the event affordable for a company's entire HR team to attend.

A limited number of press and analyst passes are available for this conference. To request a press pass, please contact Jeanne Achille, The Devon Group, 732-706-0123, ext. 11, or e-mail jeanne @ devonpr.com.

NOTE: Do not miss the interview with public relations genius, Jeanne Achille today at noon.
