Gary Steel is named the chairman of the Board of Directors of ABB India and will be located in Zurich. Steel, who is currently the Head of Human Resources and member of the Group of Executive Committee.
Gary Bolton has been named director of human resources at Midland Lutheran College.
Nordson Corporation reported the retirement of Bruce H. Fields, corporate vice president of human resources. Current corporate vice president and CIO Shelly M. Peet will add global human resources function to her responsibilities.
Borders Group Inc. laid off 136 people at its Ann Arbor headquarters. The jobs in marketing, human resources, field-management and corporate sales represent 12% of the corporate workforce and 1% of the company's total workforce.
Jeannine Clark has joined National Lime & Stone Co. as director of human resources. She is the former director of organization effectiveness at HCR ManorCare in Toledo, Ohio.
Kathi Myers has joined Buck Consultants as a Director in the compensation consulting practice, joining from Coinstar, Inc. where she served as Director of Compensation.

Josh Bersin, president of Bersin & Associates joins the KnowledgeAdvisors advisory board.
UK-based Impellam Group plc names Linda Philp as senior vice president and chief financial officer of Impellam's North American business operations, which include CORESTAFF Services and other staffing companies. She is based in Houston.

Lynn Blodgett, president and chief executive officer of Affiliated Computer Services, Inc. is named to the The International Association of Outsourcing Professionals Hall of Fame for his lifelong contributions to the industry of outsourcing.
Moss Jackson, Ph.D., president of Corporate Initiatives and Co-Founder of the Center for Psychological Services, has been awarded the prestigious Chairman's Award for Research at the Target Training International (TTI) Winners' Conference for his research contributions to understanding Gen Y.
