'Marketing Bailout' Plan
(December 2, 2008)
HRmarketer.com Offers a 'Marketing Bailout' Plan for Cash-Conscious HR Vendors
'Reverse lay-away' program helps HR suppliers continue critical marketing activities during challenging economy
Don't suspend your marketing due to tightened cash flow. That's the advice from HRmarketer.com, the human resource industry's leading marketing services and software firm.
Despite an influx of liquidity from the federal government, many banks are not lending and leading venture capital firms like Sequoia Capital have advised their portfolio firms to dramatically cut back business spending. Yet, history has shown that businesses that continue to market their products and services during an economic downturn emerge ahead of their competition when things turn around.
Nonetheless, many human resource (HR) vendors have been forced to cut marketing budgets as access to capital has dried up. To help HR suppliers continue their most critical marketing campaigns, while being sensitive and flexible to their budget constraints in these tough times, HRmarketer is offering new and existing clients flexible payment terms as a solution to the credit and cash crunch.
"In tough economic times, the gut instinct is to slash the marketing budget but it's a huge mistake," says Mark Willaman, founder and president of Fisher Vista, LLC, the firm that owns HRmarketer.com. "Marketing cannot be stopped and started based on the available cash month to month because there is a lag time between campaigns and sales. Suspending marketing creates serious gaps in your prospect pipeline -- something you can't just kick-start when good times return, which they will."
HRmarketer is allowing qualified vendors to pay interest-free monthly installments over a 12-month period for many of HRmarketer's most effective lead-generating services, including direct e-mail list rental campaigns, web site and SEO work, white paper development and HRmarketer.com memberships.
"We've enjoyed nearly ten years of growing revenue and are fortunate to be in a healthy cash position, enabling us to assist our valued customers in maintaining their most critical marketing activities during this tough economy," said Willaman. "It's the right thing to do and it makes good business sense for both parties."
As an example, a supplier who invests in a direct marketing campaign can pay for the campaign over a one-year period with small monthly payments while they realize revenue from the campaign's leads.
