Talent Management Technology

Applicant Tracking Systems, Talent Acquisition Software, Talent Management Solutions, Talent Platforms...what's the difference?

What is a Talent Platform?
Unlike Applicant Tracking or Talent Management Systems of the past, today's Talent Platforms are solutions that make it possible for corporations to manage their organization's entire talent lifecycle through a single web-based system, eliminating the need to purchase multiple, costly, disparate talent management solutions or softwares that don't communicate well with each other.

While an Applicant Tracking System or Talent Management Solution may automate some of these processes using multiple modules or different source codes, only a Talent Platform streamlines both pre- and post-hire needs through one easy-to-use platform.

The difference? Talent Platforms mean no additional modules, no required migrations to new databases, and no premium prices for Customer Support when business needs change.

Which Type of System is Right for My Organization?
With so many different HR Software options available today, it can be a challenge not only to find the right mix of providers that can support your unique needs, but to also compare those vendors on a level playing field once they have been identified. Time and time again, recruiters are faced with the dilemma how to start, what to ask, and who to short-list. Here are a few tips to help get you started on your evaluation:
    Define your needs: Prior to looking for talent management tools and technology, it's important to know WHY you need the technology. What are your pain points??
    Talk to your peers: Their experiences will help you understand the market, the strengths & weaknesses of vendors, and make you aware of pitfalls in the evaluation process.
    Talk to the experts: Many HR websites and industry experts offer Buyers Guides so you can identify vendors with experience supporting similar companies to your own.
