Joel doesn't like lists of links,
that's why he
started
posting them. Michael, that
Animal, doesn't like
Gen Y, that's why
he writes about them all of the time. Me, I assume you know that I
plow through mounds of material every day, that's why I try to list the
best five things I found (each
day on Recruiting.com). I assume that you think for yourself and
don't need a deeper explanation about the links than "look at this"
The biggest news in the lazy post summer
season is that Cheezhead has
revamped his offering. It's simple, to the point and finally working. An
interesting subset of the play is
Cheezehead extra, the big
Cheez answer to Kennedy's
Recruiting Trends. He'll be routinely featuring stuff from folks
like
Hank Stringer,
Ray Fassett,
Harleen Kahlon,
Susan Burns,
Jenny Floren and a host of others. The idea is solid and Joel's
momentum is growing. A couple of years of toiling in the fields and this
offering just might upset the conventional applecart.
Michael Kelleman,
the werewolf wannabe,
continues to perfect his
fake news / fox news adaptation. Although critics say it can't come
too soon, some of the rough edges are being worn down in his
presentation. These days, guests on the Animal Radio Hour occasionally
get a word in edgewise. More interestingly, the overall quality of the
flow of information on
RecruitingBloggers is rapidly improving. I routinely take a look at
the RSS feeds on the right hand side of RecruitingBloggers. Michael
seems to prune and shift them with some regularity. More than anyone
else in the business, Michael blends real concern with a brave sense of
humor as a way of informing and educating. He is, in his spare time, the
head of a world wide anti Gen Y conspiracy.
Over at
RecruitingBlogs.com, Jason
Davis' new haunt, there are now 543 members. It's a pretty amazing thing
to generate that level of interest. It seems like, on the whole, the
community is still looking for direction. That's going around. The
Recruitosphere, in general, feels like late in the afternoon of an
overindulgent Christmas Day. All of the toys are scattered around the
house and the yard and everyone is taking a nap.
