Tsun Ami
(August 09, 2007)
He's the most productive person I have ever met. Furiously writing,
experimenting and barnstorming the south, Amitai Givertz is a bundle of
raw energy wrestling with the ambiguities of contemporary Recruiting.
Recently, I started recommending his powerful presentation on the
recursive nature of blogging to anyone who will listen. Posing by
day as a Vice President of Recourse
Communications, Inc. (RCI), Ami is fast becoming a central theorist
and practitioner in 21st Century online recruiting.
RCI has been around the industry, under
the leadership of Michael Moore (a different one), for nearly 20 years.
Always ready to experiment, the firm built early job boards and has
quietly become a central player in the RPO business. RCI, is an
exemplary player who stays just below the surface of national attention
by focusing on their local markets.
I got to know Ami as a persistent
blogger. With projects ranging from
Recruitomatic to the
more conservative Bells and
Whistles (the RCI blog), Ami's voice gets heard in a variety of
settings. If he isn't the smartest guy writing about recruiting these
days, he's certainly one of them.
He's become a believer in the notion
that networks are built based on value delivered to the network, not
value received. He's been experimenting all over the place with formats,
ideas and consequences. Get close enough to him and amazing things happen.
Ami is carving out a portion of his time
to help with the Recruiting
Roadshow project. Specifically, he's adding real content to our
fledgling blog while shouldering the organizational responsibilities for
our next Roadshow: Atlanta.
On September 25th (mark the date on your
calendars), we are going to join the local network in Atlanta for
Recruiting Roadshow v2.0. Details remain sketchy. I'll post you as it
gets clearer.
You can be sure, however, that Ami will
be generating enormous value for anyone who gets involved in the
project.
