BoB (Best of the Blogs)
(September 21, 2005) Here we go again. Volumes of material are flowing through the Recruiting Industry Blogs. This week, there's very interesting meat on the plate. Part of what's happening is the emergence of a global dialog between
the authors of the blogs. Jobster is using the milieu to their meaningful advantage.
- Gerry Crispin's Louisiana adventures are compelling, entertaining and informative. Gerry is harnessing the power of the tragedy to take a deep look into the world of Recruiting. It doesn't get better than this.
- Jason Goldberg at Jobster takes a strong whack at reframing the new "Talent Wars" The table comparing this war with the last one is worth the price of admission.
- Jeff Hunter's occasional blog, And Talentism, features a nice wrap up of the latest wave of technical innovation in the industry. Hunter's infrequent posts
are always worth the wait. He's one of the deepest minds in the business. PAy particular attention to his remarks about Jobster.
- Heather Leigh, Microsoft's outspoken recruiter delivers an impressive endorsement of Jobster, a
follow-up in her ongoing discussion about recruiting ethics and strong praise (well deserved) for Gerry Crispin's Louisiana adventures
- Of course, we've already mention Michael Specht's hrblogs.org offering. Let one thousand flowers bloom. In
A $5,000 bounty, but does it work?, Specht notes the utility of networks developed by blog and wonders whether incentives work.
- Andrew Marritt, whose Resourcing Strategies is one of the meatier offerings, weighs in with Jobster's
affiliate program, and Tipping points, corner solutions and switching propensity
- Dub Dubs, the Anonymous author of HR Technology Discussion Board offers a piece detailing the new offering from Dave Duffield. You'll also enjoy
2006 Technoloy Outlook which is a response to HR.com's recent report.
- Recruiting.com comes through with an update on the ongoing flame war between Nick Corcodilos and John Sullivan.
- Researchzilla is a sourcer's paradise. Lots of blogs to choose from.
- Hiring Technical People offers smart, practical tips from a real pro.
Don't forget to check out the blogs on bert.
