Bloglines

(May 23, 2005) - The powerful thing about RSS is that it delivers news to your desktop from the blogs/news feeds of your choice. The tool you use to read RSS feeds is called a "News Reader" or "News Aggregator". Here's a good list of alternatives.

Currently, we're using Bloglines as a desktop independent source for our news feeds. It's convenient, quick and easy to set up. We've got about 30 Recruit-blogs under surveillance at this point and expect to see more. Bloglines will help you keep track of the burgeoning world of independently publishing in recruiting.

We were reminded, for example, of this great post, 10 Things to Hate About Recruiters:

10. "Recruiters don't seem to truly understand the role they are recruiting for or that much detail about the clients needs."
9. "I am not sure if the post-interview feedback is honest or I don't get feedback at all."
