Search Results
(May 14, 2004) - Ever since Yahoo took responsibility for executing its own search function (in anticipation of the Google IPO), search results have been in flux. Here are the (somewhat surprising) results of search queries against the keywords Career, Jobs and Employment.
While Search Engine Placement has been dramatically overtaken by outright traffic acquisition and branding, it is terribly interesting to note that the Career and Employment searches returned few of the well known names. Our guess is that current branding strategies have not quite
caught up with the changes in the search engines.
Sun Microsystems and Yahoo were the only employers to show up in the top ten.
