Politics
(September 09,
2002) - This fall, Billions of Dollars are going to be spent by the various political parties and candidates on election advertising. It's an off year, so the numbers do not approach the huge bankrolls dumped into Presidential campaigns. But, it's certainly an interesting pile of revenue.
We can not imagine a better vehicle for reaching persuadable potential voters than Job Boards and Employment oriented websites.
Here are the arguments:
- No media provides cleaner access to regionally targeted audiences
- Users of Employment websites have an observable bias (or issue differentiation)
- A single purchase by a party could be targeted at specific industries in specific regions
- The format favors the challenger (Who do you generally blame for the state of the economy?)
Having identified this interesting revenue opportunity, we wonder if there aren't other large untapped markets for the sorts of targeted marketing and advertising made possible by large job boards.
