Average starting salaries in the administrative field are expected to increase 5.0 percent next year, according to the 2000 OfficeTeam Salary Guide, reflecting the heightened demand for skilled administrative professionals.
Information technology professionals can expect starting salaries to increase an average of 6.8 percent over 1999, according to an RHI Salary Guide. It predicts that systems integration specialists will see the sharpest rise (more than 17 percent) in base compensation.
In another RHI Salary Guide report, starting salaries in the accounting and finance fields are expected to increase by 4.65 percent, mirroring the 4.67-percent average increase reported last year.

United Airlines announced that Mileage Plus members' frequent flyer miles will no longer expire, provided the members earn or redeem miles at least once every 36 months.
