5 Ways to Restart A Career in the New Year
Make 2011 a Time for Change
The New Year can be a time of new beginnings. Considering the tough economy, many people are using this time to evaluate their careers. Here are five great ways to breathe new life into your profession.
1.) Join the Military: Many branches of the military have enlisted jobs. The Army and Marine Corps call them "MOS's" (Military Occupation Specialties).
2.) Train at Job Corps: There are a lot of people looking for work right now, so some additional training in a specific field may be a great thing to add to the resume.
3.) Make a bold move: If you're having trouble finding the right work where you live or don't feel like there's a future for you with your current employer, maybe it's time to make a move.
4.) Become the boss: Don't remain frozen in status quo, make your dreams of starting your own business a reality.
5.) Start over: So you went to nursing school when you really wanted to become a chef? Maybe this is the year to start over and do something completely new.
