Dresser & Associates, the country's leading Sage Abra HRMS (Human Resource Management System) solution provider, recently completed an implementation of the software for Henley Enterprises, Inc. saving the company $70,000 annually over the cost of its former outsourced payroll service. Henley Enterprises owns 60 Valvoline oil change franchises and 5 Aamco Transmission franchises along the Eastern Seaboard.

ClickSoftware Technologies Ltd., a leading provider of mobile workforce management and service optimization solutions, announced that it has been granted United States Patent # 7,565,338, titled "Method and System for Sharing Knowledge".

Employer Solutions Group (ESG), a human resources outsourcing company that services businesses of all types and sizes, has announced the hiring of new Human Resources Consultant Gayvaughn Marnich, SPHR, by its Loveland, Colorado office. Gayvaughn brings more than 17 years of human resources experience to ESG, 15 of which were with Amgen.

TempWorks Software, a provider of business solutions for the staffing industry, introduced their Freemium version of TempWorks, offering all the essentials for a basic front office suite. Freemium provides a service for start-up companies giving them access to the nationally renowned TempWorks Front office application. Interested companies simply log on to the TempWorks website, create a profile and receive instant access to the application.

Alice Snell, vice president of research for Taleo Corp., has written an article that rethinks how to invest in human resources during an economic downturn. Drawing on findings from Taleo Research studies such as Talent Management in a Down Economy and Recessionary Management: The Top DOs and DON'Ts for Managing Talent in the Current Downturn (developed in conjunction with the Human Capital Insitute) and other talent management research, her article explores the downside of layoffs and paring down human capital expenditures in a downturn economy.
