Two of the seven are looking for work.

Just launched, InovaHire is a Nashua, NH-based career site, which features live interviews and resources for both employers and candidates, including a job board, blog, and career advice.

Common Impact, a nonprofit organization designed to help global companies and local nonprofits build stronger communities through employee engagement programs, has created the Human Resource (HR) Leaders Roundtable, a board of human resources professionals and corporate leaders from companies, such as Fidelity Investments and Analog Devices, Target Teams, Phase Forward and My Perfect Gig.

EmployerRap.com is a new website, where employees can anonymously share "the truth" about employers and bosses through ratings, reviews, and sharing of workplace experiences.

Advanced Personnel Systems, Inc. (APS), talent acquisition management and recruiting business solutions firm, announced online integration of eQuest job posting aggregation services that is in the works for users of its SmartSearch solution.

The latest study from the Public Policy Institute of California reports that California could run short of college graduates needed to keep its economy humming by 2025. As a result, the State may not have enough teachers, computer programmers, scientists and other key workers to meet escalating 21st century demands. If current trends continue, in 16 years the State should expect 4 out of every 10 workers to earn at least a bachelor's degree, according to the think tank.

Jobscience, Inc., a human capital solutions and services firm, now offers several on-demand recruitment applications on the AppExchange, through the Force.com Checkout pilot program. The series of applications are 100% natively developed on the Force.com platform, and are compatible with both Group and Professional editions of Salesforce CRM.

Under a new agreement, CBS Radio will power Launchcast Radio, Yahoo's free Internet radio service. Their stations will be combined in early 2009, with CBS Radio assuming sales responsibility. A new CBS Radio player will be integrated into the Yahoo! Music site, and Yahoo! News and Sports also will incorporate players dedicate to those topics. Launchcast would be available to Firefox, Mac, and Safari users.

Swedish online job site and Careerbuilder.com subsidiary, Jobbguiden.se will assume the Careerbuilder.se name.

Rumor has it that Careerbuilder has laid off more than 300 employees. Most of the laid-off workers appear to be from the Chicago corporate headquarters. However, some have also been let go from the Scottsdale (AZ) and Atlanta offices.

Employment Outlook Surveys
U.S. employers are proceeding with caution when considering hiring for Quarter 1 2009, according to the results of the latest Manpower Employment Outlook Survey. Of the 31,800 employers surveyed, 16% anticipate an increase in their staff levels during Quarter 1 2009, while 13% expect a reduction in their payrolls, resulting in a Net Employment Outlook of 3%. Sixty-seven percent of employers surveyed expect no change and 5% are undecided about their January through March hiring plans.

In a break from the recent steady flow of negative economic news, staffing service Manpower Canada says its latest survey of employers points to a "hopeful" hiring outlook for early 2009. That contrasts with most other countries surveyed--only Canada, the United States and Switzerland showed improvement in hiring expectations compared with the previous quarter.

The Manpower Employment Outlook Survey Of Global Hiring reveals that the pace of hiring is set to slow further in the first quarter of 2009 most notably in Singapore, India and Taiwan. The survey shows that employers in 25 of 33 countries and territories still expect positive hiring activity in the coming quarter; however, those in 30 say they will slow the pace of hiring from three months ago. Year-over-year hiring forecasts are also weaker in 25 countries and territories; and employers in 21 countries and territories are reporting the weakest hiring plans since the survey was established there by Manpower.
