5 Years Ago Today The Market
We worry when the TMPW stock price decays. When the market leader is under
pressure, the industry as a whole is at risk. The capital investment required to
grow our various businesses is rightly sitting on the sidelines trying to figure
out the vibrations. While we understand the importance of using the firm as a
competitive benchmark, strategies that promote TMP's failure are misguided and
short term.

White Paper: Perth Leadership Institute Announces White Paper on Leadership Development, Business Acumen and the Credit Crisis
The Perth Leadership Institute White Paper is based on the current credit crisis and its link with leadership development practices, both in the financial services companies and on other companies that consume these services. The White Paper argues that the crisis was due at least in part to a lack of business acumen on the part of managers and executives in the industry and that this has been perpetuated by the lack of leadership development programs that identify and develop business acumen.
The approach in the White Paper is based on the book by Dr. E. Ted Prince, Founder and CEO of the Institute, entitled The Three Financial Styles of Very Successful Leaders, published by McGraw-Hill in 2005.

UK: Genie Management Group announces the acquisition of the Executive Recruitment Exhibition and Conference (EREC)
The Exhibition is the only executive recruitment exhibition and conference held in the UK and its acquisition consolidates the strategic growth of Genie Management Group as a key service provider to the HR and recruitment industry.
EREC 2008, now in its third year, was established by Eton Events Ltd in 2006 and has quickly established itself as a focal point for the executive recruitment industry. Last year's event attracted over 2500 visitors and more than 80 exhibitors.
"We are proud to have created EREC and delighted that it is being taken over by Genie Management Group. The event needs the additional resource and vision that a large group can bring in order to move it onto the next level in its development. The new owners have some exciting ideas and bring a real knowledge of the executive recruitment industry to the table" said Andrew Clark, managing director of Eton Events "we will remain involved in the event but wish every success to Genie Management Group".
Graham Fisher, Managing Director of Genie Management Group stated "we have been looking for the right opportunity to consolidate and grow our influence in the recruitment industry for some time. Event management was a natural area of growth for us given our knowledge of the recruitment industry and my background in running major sports tournaments. We believe the foundations are in place to dramatically increase the size of the exhibition this year and to further develop the conference."
EREC 2008 will be held at the Business Design Centre in Islington on 26th and 27th June.

NEW YORK, December 6, 2006: Vault's Company Holiday Party Survey was conducted in November 2006 and is comprised of 543 responses from employees representing various industries across the U.S.
When asked about how elaborate their company party will be, 17% of respondents expected their holiday parties to be "extravagant". One survey respondent shared, "This year, it will be at one of the biggest local museums and all the galleries will be open for us." Twenty-eight percent of respondents labeled their holiday party as "bargain basement"; said one respondent, "It's done on the cheap, in the corporate cafeteria. You go, you stand around for a short time, and then you leave." About half of companies, 52%, will be spending the same amount of money on this year's party as on last year's. The consumption of alcoholic beverages contributes to post-holiday gossip, as it is served at a reported 70% of company holiday parties.
