A growing number of global companies are acting on their vision of a global enterprise recruiting capability. Companies cited in the report include a variety of industry leaders such as Accenture, Cisco, Clorox, General Motors, and Hilton Hotels Corporation. "Companies need to apply a high level of discipline to acquiring and managing talent, regardless of where their operations are," says Ed Newman, president of The Newman Group and developer of the report. The presentation and report will explore three major types of approaches for large, complex implementations. First among them is the phased approach--a strategy that allows for rollout in one department, organization, or region at a time. The second approach is the "big bang" strategy, characterized by intensive planning and change management followed by simultaneous rollout of systems and processes across the enterprise. Finally, the report will explore the hybrid approach, a practical strategy that combines elements of the phased and big bang strategies.
