    It seems I make a point of talking about the millennial generation (those emerging into the workforce now), and how there seems to be a perception that they are less motivated than prior generations. It's probably true that they were given broader opportunities than prior generations while growing up. This simply means that they generally had better travel experiences, were open to more cultures, peoples and foods, had easier means of communicating with many people including those in other countries or continents. What this seems to mean is that the millennials value this rich diversity in life and intend to pursue this during their working life as well – meaning they will value a work life balance that many of us would consider to be very much weighted towards life than work.     SuccessFactors announced one of the largest enterprise SaaS deployments; 85,000 users at Wachovia. SuccessFactors software helps companies like Wachovia manage their people, from performance reviews to aligning employee and business goals across the organization. As you may remember, earlier this year, Salesforce.com made headlines with a 25,000-seat deployment at Merrill Lynch – that announcement coupled with this SuccessFactors deployment, shows growing momentum and adoption of SaaS in the enterprise. It speaks volumes in terms of SaaS going mainstream when one of the most widely respected financial companies is choosing to use Web-based software.

    US:
    One-third of U.S. workers seek green employer
    Just one-third of U.S. workers would be more inclined to seek employment with a "green" company, according to a new survey commissioned by staffing firm Adecco USA.

    The survey also found that 52 per cent of employees believe their companies should be doing more to be environmentally friendly. Just 22 per cent say their company already does enough or too much.  Worldatwork.org
