HR Buyers' Practices and Habits Revealed in New
HRmarketer.com 'Trends' Report"Buyers' Behavior" whitepaper offers exclusive
data for HR/Benefits marketers who seek insight into buyers' motivations
Capitola, CA, October 18, 2006 -- Whom do HR buyers rely on to make
purchasing decisions? What information sources do they use and trust? How
important is a vendor's online visibility? These questions and more are answered
in "Trends in HR Marketing: HR Buyers' Behavior," a new report from
HRmarketer.com, the number one Internet marketing and media visibility service
focusing exclusively on the human resources and benefits space.
The newest installment of a continuing series, "HR Buyers' Behavior" analyzes
trends and the progress of the HR buyer through the purchasing cycle, as well as
the tools they use to progress through each stage. It focuses on specific areas
of how HR buyers seek and evaluate information before making a purchasing
decision.
Key topics include the relative value of printed materials, online
visibility, the word-of-mouth of trusted sources and informal networks, and
professional peers' opinions. This analysis, combined with an understanding of
the shifting purchasing behaviors throughout the North American marketplace,
provides readers with a better understanding of their target market and the best
tools with which to reach them.
"Thanks to a constant stream of advertising, many HR buyers distrust or
completely disregard traditional marketing messages," explains Kevin Grossman,
chief operating officer of HRmarketer.com. "For those marketers attempting to
reach buyers and inform them about products that can benefit their bottom line,
new approaches are needed to meet their increasing skepticism. This report
answers the big questions, and provides valuable insight into the needs and
priorities of HR professionals."
The white paper report features 15 distinct "marketing takeaways" that
marketers can put to use in their efforts. It is available for free download by
visiting
www.HRmarketer.com.
"All businesses engaged in selling to HR buyers of services or technology
related to benefits, HRIS, recruiting, staffing, training, general human
resources or organizational development will find the report eye-opening and
actionable," Grossman added.

College Grad Resumes Need Help72% of College
Students and Recent Grads Don't Have a Resume or Say Theirs Needs Help
According to a recent poll by CollegeGrad.com, the #1 entry level job site,
72% of college grad job seekers don't have a resume yet or say theirs needs
help.
"The entry level resume is critical to successful job search," said Brian
Krueger, president of CollegeGrad.com. "College students and recent grads should
make developing a world class resume their top priority if theirs is nonexistent
or not already perfect."
Developing a resume from scratch, or revamping an outdated resume is probably
not a college student's favorite activity. Yet Krueger points out that having a
resume is a necessity in the job search for networking, applying to jobs and
interviewing for jobs.
"The resume will not get you the job," said Krueger, "but you will not get
the job without it. Any time you make a serious job contact, it will be a
requirement."
The resume may seem like only a first step in the job search process, but in
reality, it is a professional reflection of the candidate. Krueger advises
putting in the time to develop the best reflection possible, especially since
the resume is often the first professional image the recruiter sees.
However, he cautions against resume inflation. "The resume is not a work of
fiction," said Krueger. "While it should emphasize the positive, it should never
emphasize what does not exist."
For college students and recent grads who need help with their resume,
CollegeGrad.com provides information on developing world class resumes,
including more than 200 quickstart resume templates for more than 30 majors.
Resume information, sample resumes, customizable templates and more can be found
by visiting
http://www.collegegrad.com/resumes.
Following are the overall survey results:
How good is your resume?
Needs help - 45.2%
Perfect - 28.0%
I don't have one yet - 26.8%
The survey was conducted nationally using an online poll placed on the
CollegeGrad.com home page during September 2006. The results are based on
approximately 850 respondents.
About CollegeGrad.com:
CollegeGrad.com is the #1 entry level job site on the Internet and is the
leader in the field of entry level job search.
