Hewitt Associates, Inc. (NYSE:HEW),
a global human resources services firm, reported results for its fiscal 2006 first quarter ended December 31, 2005.
For the first fiscal quarter, Hewitt's reported net revenues (revenues before reimbursements) declined 1%, to
$701.0 million, from $709.0 million in the comparable prior-year quarter. Outsourcing revenues declined 3%, and
Consulting revenues increased 6%. The current quarter was impacted by a $16 million decline in third-party
supplier revenues, and the net unfavorable effects of foreign currency translation of $6 million.
Acquisitions contributed $3 million of revenue in the quarter.

Beijing to start recruiting Olympic volunteers
Beijing Olympic organizers will start in August to recruit volunteers for the 2008 Games.
According to the Beijing Organizing Committee for the 2008 Olympics (BOCOG), altogether 100,000 volunteers will be needed before and during the 2008 Beijing Games, with 70,000 serving the 2008 Summer Olympics and 30,000 for the Paralympics.
Li Shixin, a BOCOG official in charge of the volunteers' recruitment work, said that BOCOG will need to map out detailed procedures for the recruitment work before recruiting the first batch of volunteers in August.
"People who are interested can submit applications via the internet," said Li.
The Beijing Olympic Volunteers Program was officially launched last June.
