Recruiter Confidence
With economic growth remaining strong in the face of soaring energy prices, ExecuNet's Recruiters Confidence Index returned to a record high first reached in March 2005.  The search industry is expecting strong growth in jobs paying more than $100,000. According to the survey of 258 executive recruiters, 78% are confident or very confident the executive employment market will improve during the next six months - up from 72% in May.  During this period of time, the executive search industry is expecting a 15.2% increase in the number of assignments received from corporate clients.

Securities Industry Employment:
Employment slipped in June, on a seasonally adjusted basis, by nearly 2,000 jobs.  This marks the first time this year that the Securities Industry has had a net job loss.  (On a non-seasonally adjusted basis, there was an increase in jobs, but we are still nearly 5,000 jobs short of the pace through June versus last year on this scale.) June's report describes a net gain of only 3,300 new jobs for  the first half of 2005 - a gain of less than ½ of 1%.  This is "less than robust" by many standards.
