Although most employees are satisfied with their compensation, many organizations still apply inconsistent standards to setting pay levels and managing employee performance.

• While two-thirds of employees are very or somewhat satisfied with their total package, one-third rarely or never receive a performance review and are unsure about the review criteria.

• Financial and IT workers are more likely than other occupation groups to earn bonuses.

• Managers are more likely to say stronger performers receive more money in their firms, compared to workers with more tenure.

• Only half of respondents believe they are paid on par with their peers doing similar work.
