New Combinations
Oracle will acquire
Retek at a price of $11.25 per outstanding share,
just 25 cents more than SAP had offered.
The total value of the deal tallies out to about $650 million, although Retek will bank only $625 million
after it pays SAP a $25 million termination fee for backing out of its previous merger agreement with the
German firm.
Financial Awards
California Labor Secretary Victoria Bradshaw announced the award of $500,000 to the North Coast
Veterans' Resource Center in Eureka, CA. The grant comes with more than
$5.8 million in Workforce Investment
Act funds for the
Veterans' Employment-Related Assistance Program.
