Unemployment Insurance Weekly Claims Report: In the week ending March 19, the advance figure for seasonally adjusted initial claims was 324,000, an increase of 3,000 from the previous week's revised figure of 321,000. The 4-week moving average was 321,750, an increase of 3,500 from the previous week's revised average of 318,250.

Survey Says...
TheLadders.com  Quarterly Executive Employment Outlook survey shows that Executives anticipate 3-6 Month Job Hunt and 82% report that now is a better time than last year to be in the Job Market.

ERC Dataplus, an HR technology company, and Human Resource Executive Magazine conducted a survey regarding Compliance and Employment-Related Litigation. Results show that 57% of the respondents reported that there has been no change in the past three years in the trend of employment-related lawsuits at their organizations. In addition, 10% or less of their HR department's time is spent on compliance and litigation work. Respondents saw training as most effective preventative strategy.
