Gross Domestic Product: Third Quarter 2004 (Advanced).
Real gross domestic product increased at an annual rate of 3.7 percent in the
third quarter of 2004, according to advance estimates.In the second quarter,
real GDP increased 3.3 percent.
Personal Income And Outlays: September 2004. Personal income increased $15.1 billion (0.2 %) and disposable personal income (DPI) increased $9.0 billion (0.1 %) in September. Personal consumption expenditures (PCE) increased $49.8 billion, (0.6 %). In August, personal income increased $25.3 billion (0.3%), DPI increased $20.0 billion (0.2%), and PCE decreased $6.4 billion (0.1%) based on revised estimates. The September and August estimates of personal income reflect the effects of Hurricanes Charley, Frances, Ivan, and Jeanne, which hit the southeastern part of the United States during these months.

World Health buys Alabama medical staffing firm
World Health Alternatives Inc acquires Birmingham-based Travel Nursing Solutions Inc. (TNS) for $5.6 million cash plus stock. The deal gives World Health two additional offices and TNS's 350 medical facility clients. This was World Health fourth acquisition this year.
Reveille Workscape, a provider of outsourced benefits and workforce management solutions, introduces a new nationwide partner program. The Workscape Broker Alliance Program is available to insurance brokers and HR consultants that service employers with greater than 2,500 benefits-eligible employees.
Under the terms of a new agreement, HireDesk partners with legal firm Seyfarth Shaw in providing hiring process audits and best practices implementations for HireDesk clients. Under the agreement, Seyfarth Shaw employment counsel will accompany every implementation of the HireDesk HireQuality solution for corporate HR departments.
