Did You Know …
Spam filters are also responsible for filtering out resumes. CareerJournal suggests that job seekers identify and remove keywords that may cause your resume and cover letter to be viewed as spam, to paste your resume directly into your e-mail, after a cover letter, to follow up with a phone call to make sure your resume has been received, and to run your correspondence through your own spam filter before e-mailing it. This is a good suggestion for recruiters also to test their company's filters and determine what qualified resumes have been lost.
