U.S. multinational companies (MNCs) employed 30.6 million workers worldwide in 2002, of which 22.4 million were employed in the United States by U.S. parent companies and 8.2 million were employed abroad by majority-owned foreign affiliates. The employment of U.S. parents accounted for about one-fifth of total U.S. employment in private industries.

A recent Yahoo! HotJobs survey shows that college seniors seem to be more optimistic about finding a job this year than last year. More than half of soon-to-be-graduates have not started looking for full-time employment and more than one-third believe it will only take 1–3 months to land that first job. It also appears making money is more important that the perfect job.

Grads should try networking in their job search. CollegeJournal.com reports that alumni can be a great resource for job-hunting graduates and other alums.

Customers of applicant tracking and hiring management firm HRLogix can now distribute their open job positions to more than 1,000 unique employment boards spanning the globe through eQuest.
