Lost Jobs
The Associated Press reports that Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan said that jobs lost in the last recession can be replaced, but that unemployed workers may need retraining to qualify for new work. In a speech prepared for an economic conference in London, Greenspan sought to address fears that many of the 2.8 million manufacturing jobs lost in the past 3 1/2 years could be gone forever to lower wage countries.

The Citizens Bank of Pennsylvania Community Service Sabbatical Program is open to all full-time Citizens employees with 3 or more years of service at Citizens. The selected employees will work a standard full-time schedule at a community service agency and are supervised by agency personnel. Upon returning to Citizens, sabbatical recipients are asked to share their experiences with their colleagues.
