Virus Alert and Deaf Ears
How many times have we been told not to open unexpected e-mail attachments? Clearly not enough, as the latest high-risk and very fast-spreading MyDoom (aka Novarg) e-mail worm shows just how many deaf ears are out there. Mydoom or Novarg arrives with various subject lines and arrives as an attachment with the file extension .bat, .cmd, .exe, .pif, .scr, or .zip. When the attachment is opened, it picks up e-mail addresses on a computer's hard drive and fires off infected e-mails to other computers.

Regional and State unemployment rates were generally stable in December. Only three States recorded a shift greater than 0.3 percentage point. At 5.7 percent, the national jobless rate was little changed over December, but has trended down since midyear. The South again registered the lowest unemployment rate, 5.3 percent in
December, while the West continued to post the highest rate, 6.0 percent.
State Personal Income grew 1.1 percent in the third quarter of 2003. According to estimates, earnings for the Nation grew in every industry for the first time in more than 2 years.
Superbowl Sunday
