ChicagoJobs.com is a regional job board for the Chicagoland metro and suburban areas. HR Outlook
According to a December 2003 survey conducted by HR technology firm ERC Dataplus and Human Resource Executive magazine, 62 percent of HR professionals think the economic outlook for 2004 would be stronger than 2003. Seventy-seven percent expect little or no change in the quality of the labor pool and were evenly divided, 34 percent each, expecting either a slight increase or a slight decrease in applicant availability. Only 11 percent anticipated a substantial increase in the size of the applicant pool.

IT employment Web site ComputerJobs.com, offers a new client feature, Candidate Qualifying Questions. The feature, designed to reduce the number of unqualified candidates applying for jobs, allows employers to ask up to five career-related questions of a candidate before that candidate is allowed to apply for a particular job.
A new partnership will integrate Trax SmartStore, a suite of loss prevention and store operations control software and services, with Unicru Total Workforce Acquisition solution, enabling performance insights gained from the Trax SmartStore suite to validate and refine predictions on the performance of job applicants made by the Unicru system in the hiring process.
Users of job posting distributor eQuest now have the ability to post their contract and part-time jobs on Sologig, an employment portal for freelancers, consultants, and independent professionals. Sologig is a wholly owned property of CareerBuilder.com.
