Virus Alert
An email, claiming to be from Microsoft, has an attachment
that contains the Xombe Trojan virus. The email address appears as
windowsupdate@microsoft.com. The email explains that you need to remove a beta
version of Windows XP Service Pack 1 (SP1), to disable your anti-virus software,
and reinstall the attached file, which is the virus. The ACTUAL Microsoft update
address is windowsupdate.microsoft.com.
Factors Effecting Productivity
A new study in the
Journal of Occupational and Organizational Psychology, testing the relationship between work characteristics and outcomes, finds that intrinsic work motivation is primarily predicted by challenging task characteristics and that emotional exhaustion is primarily predicted by a high workload and lack of social support in certain professions.
