Real gross domestic product, the output of goods and services produced by labor and property located in the United States, increased at an annual rate of 8.2 percent in the third quarter of 2003, according to preliminary estimates. In the second quarter, real GDP increased 3.3 percent.

BostonWorks tells us that the September 2003 Big Help generated a 14-percent increase in the total number of employment listings over the September 2002 Big Help.
TruStar Solutions, creating exceptional hiring strategies, adds ProFound Diversity Recruiting Solutions to its diversity preferred vendor network. ProFound Diversity Recruiting Solutions is an alliance between Spanish-language newpaperlaopinion.com and BlackVoices.com, an online destination for African-Americans.
Form and Function
The HR Scorecard Alliance, a survey established by
Watson Wyatt Worldwide, finds that HR's allocation of
staff time and resources is considerably out of alignment with the priorities of
both senior line managers and HR professionals. Additionally, only one-third
(34%) of line managers and less than one-half (46%) of HR professionals rate the
performance of their companies' human resources departments as good. However, 83
percent of senior line managers, on average, consider HR's major functions
critical to their companies' business success.
