Crdentia Corp. completes the
acquisition of
New Age Staffing, Inc. Under the the terms and conditions of the
merger, New Age becomes a wholly owned subsidiary of Crdentia. New Age, based in Nashville, operates a per diem and travel nursing company under the trade name of New Age Nurses.
Reveille
Workopolis, provider of recruitment and job search solutions in Canada, has expanded its diversity services through an exclusive partnership with The Canadian Council on Rehabilitation and Work. The co-branded site, Workink.Workopolis.com is designed to assist job seekers with disabilities in finding employment opportunities and provides online career counseling and advice to improve their job search process.
Career search engine SoftwareJobLink, from JobLink Systems, is now available as a plug-in component for complementary websites. The mini-search engine enables jobseekers to link directly to job openings on the websites of leading software companies, such as Sun Microsystems, Oracle, Siebel, Borland, Business Objects, Symantec and Open Text.
The Biddle Consulting Group, a provider of Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), Affirmative Action Plan (AAP), and Personnel Selection consulting and software, will integrate its products with SonicRecruit, the applicant tracking software from CareerExchange Interactive.
Where Are They Coming From?
According to a new study by research firm Corzen, Washington, D.C., boasted the highest ratio of online job board postings over a 4-week period ending September 14. Boston was second, followed by San Diego, then Seattle-Tacoma, then Los Angeles. Thanks to New England Tech Wire.
Where Are They Going?
A recent Monstermoving.com poll indicates that 53 percent of moving consumers are relocating for a career change. The results are nearly double those of a similar poll conducted in 2002 that found only 29 percent of respondents moving for a change of career.
