BrassRing Follow Up
BrassRing company spokesman Austin Whitman contacted us
to say that the transition of the BrassRing.com job board to
CareerBuilder
follows up on a prior announcement (made in early June) to suspend operations of the job board
this month. According to Whitman, BrassRing believes that CareerBuilder will serve its customers
and job seekers well, and that the BrassRing offerings, defined as Recruitment Software Solutions
(ATS & related services), Talent Consulting (recruitment and staffing strategy consulting
services), and Recruitment Process Management (recruitment outsourcing) will remain the same. Whitman stated that "this decision is more a tribute to the success of Enterprise than it
is a sign of the failure of the job board. Less investment in candidate marketing means more
investment in software and services development and support." We thank Mr. Whitman for
clarifying this. CareerBuilder also issued a press release yesterday afternoon, but
as of this writing, it had not been posted on its website.
