9/11 Rehire 9/11 Rehire New York is a joint project of The September 11th Fund and the New York Times Job Market. The résumé database was created to match employers with job-ready individuals enrolled in The September 11th Fund's Employment Assistance Program. Each résumé represents someone, who worked in or around the World Trade Center and who lost their job or income as a direct result of the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.

EPCglobal, an international recruitment and staffing-solutions firm focused solely on the engineering and construction industries, releases EPCjobs.com Version 2.0, which features a staffing agency module and includes new attributes that enhance overall website usability and ease of hiring.

A new partnership will provide users access to more than 500 behavioral, personality, and skills assessments from Qwiz Inc. and comprehensive background checking, employment and education verification, drug testing, and other screening services from Sterling Testing Systems. It will be available early September via the web.

Tactics
As a result of the current economic climate, nearly half (49%) of job seekers surveyed in the metropolitan New York area say they have changed their methods of pursuing employment to include more creative tactics, according to a just-released survey conducted for The New York Times Job Market. The most popular creative job search tactic being used by job seekers is cold calling prospective employers (72%).
