Virus Updates
Well folks, it seems to be worm week, make sure your patches and your anti-virus software are up to date…. especially against Sobig.F and Welchia, and others.
Welchia is an attempt to remove the Blaster worm, but causes major disruptions to networks. Symantec considers this a Level 4 threat. SoBig.F worm, deemed a Level 3 threat, which attempts to download Internet files and leave computers vulnerable to attack, arrives as an e-mail with subject lines such as "Your details," "Thank you!," "Your application" and "Wicked screensaver" and does wicked damage.
New Combinations
Workscape, a provider of benefits and workforce management solutions, acquires the operating assets of
CallConnect, a comprehensive human resources service center specializing in employee benefits communication. In April, Workscape acquired TALX Corporation's benefits enrollment business.
Survey Says……
According to a new survey by
TrueCareers, the ability to work from home or telecommute is a top priority among the vast majority of employees84 percent. About 80 percent also believe that telecommuting would make them more productive in their current jobs. Of the more than 200 respondents, nearly half said that they currently telecommute, and another third have considered working from home.
Reveille
CareerBoard, a network of online job sites that exclusively features local jobs for local talent, will provide all the back-end technology that powers the career center for The Ohio League for Nursing.
